Sara Bingham of Brookfield, CT, believes her journey to graduate has been one of faith and perseverance. Growing up, Bingham dreamed of entering the healthcare field and following in her grandfather’s footsteps, so she enrolled in the Healthcare Management program at UMO at RTP following several setbacks. Bingham has gained valuable time management and multitasking skills which are very beneficial in her job as a patient coordinator at One Eighty Counseling in Garner and Cary.

US News & World Report 2019 Best Colleges for Veterans
UMO was ranked as the 10th Best College for Veterans in the south by US News & World Report. Institutions included in the rankings are certified to offer the GI Bill, participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, must have enrolled a minimum of 20 veterans and active service members in the previous academic year, and must be in the top half of its US News ranking category.
#6 Best Band for the Buck
UMO earned a ranking of sixth in the Southeast colleges division of Washington Monthly’s “Best Bang for the Buck” 2017 list. The list recognizes institutions “in America that do the best job of helping non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices,” according to the magazine’s editors.
