Sara Bingham of Brookfield, CT, believes her journey to graduate has been one of faith and perseverance. Growing up, Bingham dreamed of entering the healthcare field and following in her grandfather’s footsteps, so she enrolled in the Healthcare Management program at UMO at RTP following several setbacks. Bingham has gained valuable time management and multitasking skills which are very beneficial in her job as a patient coordinator at One Eighty Counseling in Garner and Cary.

The Master of Education: Educational Leadership, delivered 100% online, allows students who already hold a Level A teaching license to gain Level M licensure while providing an individualized approach to enhance professional skills and career opportunities in specific program areas. Graduates will emerge from the Master of Education: Educational Leadership program as Transformative Educational Leaders. The mission of the program is to prepare innovative, collaborative, effective, and reflective educational leaders who can develop classroom, school, and district environments that ensure equitable and quality learning opportunities and continual program improvement.

What makes the Master of Education: Educational Leadership unique?
The Master of Education: Educational Leadership at UMO provides each student with an individualized program to accommodate specific needs and interests. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to be recommended for graduate-level licensure in the following program: Educational Leadership (Principal/Assistant Principal). Courses are designed to provide students with strategic, instructional, and cultural leadership skills and the necessary real-life application experiences to facilitate innovative and positive change in an educational setting.
