Sara Bingham of Brookfield, CT, believes her journey to graduate has been one of faith and perseverance. Growing up, Bingham dreamed of entering the healthcare field and following in her grandfather’s footsteps, so she enrolled in the Healthcare Management program at UMO at RTP following several setbacks. Bingham has gained valuable time management and multitasking skills which are very beneficial in her job as a patient coordinator at One Eighty Counseling in Garner and Cary.

Degree Programs for Nursing

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Prelicensure BSN), delivered in either the daytime or evenings/weekends/summer, prepares students with the general education, fundamental skills, and professional and evidence-based practice necessary for a successful and meaningful career. If you are not already a Registered Nurse, this program affords you a great opportunity to earn your RN  license while also earning the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

What makes the BS in Nursing (Prelicensure BSN) unique?

The The University of Mount Olive offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Prelicensure BSN) in both a daytime format for residential or commuter students.  Our daytime format is collegiate-athlete friendly.  Commuter students can complete the “fast-track” format which runs in the evenings, weekends, and all summer. This allows students to pick the format that best suits their personal and professional needs. Students will experience a state-of-the-art simulated clinical experience for adults, labor and delivery, and pediatrics.  Our $1 million Nursing Simulation Laboratory features the brand new SimMan 3G PLUS simulator. UMO is only the second organization in the world to offer this simulator!

Clinicals will be conducted in facilities offering a variety of patient care settings.
